KiTA and STAN jointly conduct GST Seminar to prepare tourism players of Sandakan for 1st April 2015
On 12th – 14th Feb 2015, Kinabatangan-Corridor of Life Tourism Operators Association (KiTA) and Sandakan Tourism Association (STAN) jointly organized a 3 day GST Practical Compliance Workshop for tourism players in Sandakan at Ibis Style Sandakan Waterfront.
The course was conducted by OK Yau & HowYong Chartered Accountants with 30 participants which consists mostly accounting and operation staffs of 10 members lodges from Asia Green Travel Sdn. Bhd., Barefoot Sukau Lodge Sdn. Bhd., Borneo Eco Tours Sdn. Bhd., Kinabatangan Wetlands Resort Sdn. Bhd., Myne Resort, Nasalis Larvatus Tours Sdn. Bhd., Sepilok Tropical Wildlife Adventure Sdn. Bhd., S.I Tours Sdn. Bhd., B&B Lodges in Sukau & Uncle Tan Wildlife Adventures Sdn. Bhd.
The objectives of this course are to prepare for GST compliance towards 1st April 2015; understanding basic principle and terminology that facilitate future communication with accounting and Custom; to eliminate fear of new laws; understand impacts to the company and gaining ability to comply.
In recognizing for its effort, KiTA and OK Yong & HowYong awarded the participants with certificates completing the GST Course.
