Kinabatangan Survey Research by UMS & KiTA
March 1st – 3rd, 2018. Collaboration between UMS & KiTA on Sustainable Ecotourism Development & Operations at Lower Kinabatangan. Results were briefed based on the research done in year 2016 & 2017 taken from Kinabatangan Tour Operators & local communities in Kg. Sukau, Kg. Bilit & Kg. Sg. Lokan.
KiTA handed over Patrolling boat to Sabah Forestry Department
In conjunction with the Riparian Restoration Event at Kinabatangan held by Sabah Forest Department, KiTA officially handed over the patrolling boat to the Department yesterday, 22 Feb 2018, at KOPEL, Batu Puteh.
MoA Signed Between KiTA & UMS
7/11/17 – UMS & KiTA signed MoA on research collaboration to determine exactly how attractive and sustainable Kinabatangan is as an eco-destination. Last July & October, we have done a survey along Kg. Abai, Kg. Sukau, Kg. Bilit & Kg. Sg. Lokan. Results will be shared soon.

The last session in the afternoon of the 7th was the signing of MoU between Murdoch University Australia and UMS on greater collaboration on research projects in the future. 07th September 2016, seminar on Kinabatangan Wildlife Tourism Visitor Survey: What You Are Doing Well and Concerns for the Future was held at UMS with approximately 100 participants including students & lecturers.
